Vehicle/(s) detail: Make, Model, Purchase price (VAT incl.), Registration number

 

If you receive commision and/or are a soul proprietor:

Income & Expenses in Excel format

 

If you have a home office:

Home office space per m²: Calculate the percentage that your home office is to your total property surface. Use this percentage to determine what percentage you can claim against:

  • Rates and taxes

  • Telephone

  • Storage area

  • Monthly municipal account

When are you a Provisional Tax payer?

•        When you receive more than one income (eg.: salary / pension plus interest, rental income, etc.) and the total income is more than the annual threshold.

•        If you only receive a salary / pension plus interest and the interest is more than the exempt threshold of R22 800 below age 65 or R33 000 above age 65.

•        A Commission earner or Sole proprietor, Directors of Companies/Cc’s.

What information and documentation is needed?

•     For the 1st and the 2nd Provisional Tax periods we ONLY NEED THE SUMMARY with all the relevant information.

•     For the final Tax Return for the relevant tax year, we need all the final annual documents, certificates & summary information.

•     Provisional Tax Checklist & schedule for rental property. 

 

Important request and notification

1.   The due date on which we must receive your summaries with information is crucial. All information must be processed  for you to receive and pay your return on           time. Also bear in mind that Amucus Brokers is not only a tax practice, and that these requests will help us to stay on track with our time slots.

 

2.   The due dates on which your returns must be paid to avoid penalties and interest is important. Please be so kind as to send us proof of payment if your method of         payment is via EFT OR you can grant us permission to pay your provisional return through e-filing.

 

3.   All original documents must be retained for a 5 year period should SARS request an audit. The retention of the original documents is your responsibility.

 

4.   Lastly, we want to stress the fact that we complete your tax returns on your behalf and it stays your responsibility to make sure that we receive the correct                 documents and information in time.
