In accordance with the Financial Advisors and Intermediary Services Act and the General Code of Conduct for Financial Services Intermediaries it is my/our duty as an authorized financial services provider, Amucus Brokers and representatives to inform you, as a valued client of Amucus Brokers, of some of your principle rights in terms of the aforementioned legislation:
As a client of the financial services industry you have a right to a full analysis of your financial objectives before entering into any financial services related transaction.
As an authorized financial services provider Amucus Brokers is compelled to perform this analysis with the necessary due skill, care and diligence and to then in consultation with you prioritize your needs and provide you with objective advice to address these needs.
At Amucus Brokers we embrace these requirements as being in the interest of our valued clients and the financial service industry as a whole.

As a client you do however have the right to specify which needs you require to be focused on:

Amucus Brokers respects this right, but should you decide to consult with Amucus Brokers only regarding certain needs, we require that you take full cognizance and responsibility of the following –
when providing focused advice there may well be needs in your personal financial planning which require more urgent attention than the need being addressed at your request,
and that therefore there may well be limitations on the appropriateness of the advice being provided.
It is your explicit responsibility to ensure that the advice provided is appropriate given your current financial situation.
​At Amucus Brokers we provide financial advice and intermediary services as set out in the Disclosure Letter as well as the companies with whom Amucus Brokers contract with.
Please indicate below the area(s) of your financial portfolio you wish to address according to your current situation and objectives.

By selecting any option other than a full needs analysis you hereby accept the responsibilities and risks associated with focused advice as set out in point 2 above as well as the following:

You acknowledge that you have been made aware of the services provided by Amucus Brokers and have declined advice regarding the other planning services offered by Amucus Brokers.
You acknowledge that due to you exercising your rights as a client of the financial services industry that you might well have needs that require urgent addressing, but have chosen to not have them addressed at this stage.
That you have voluntarily exercised your right and have not been unduly influenced by Amucus Brokers to do so and are aware of your right to a full needs analysis and that Amucus Brokers has encouraged you to have such an analysis performed.
In all instances you as client have been informed and have acknowledged that any analysis of your personal financial situation can only be performed if you as client provide all relevant information to Amucus Brokers.
In all instances you have been informed and are aware that the accuracy of any analysis is critically dependent on the information provided by you to Amucus Brokers.
You have been informed of Amucus Brokers' status as an accountable institution in terms of the Financial Intelligence Centre Act and its responsibilities in terms of this act. You undertake to promptly provide the FSP with the required FICA verification documentation.
You hereby certify that any funds that Amucus Brokers is required to deal with on your behalf is not obtained from an illegal source and that you are not involved in any money laundering activities.
It is the duty of the client to inform Amucus Brokers of any changes to their factual circumstances as and when they occur.

You consent to Amucus Brokers obtaining information from all relevant product providers in order to enable Amucus Brokers to conduct a needs analysis based on your objectives.

Client responsibilities:
You shall at all times ensure that all answers, statements and other information to conclude a contract, which is presented to you by Amucus Brokers, is complete and accurate.
You shall not sign any blank or incomplete form.

A review of your portfolio will be performed on a 12/18 monthly basis.

FEES PAYABLE: Amucus Brokers are remunerated for their services by being paid Commission from the product supplier at which Amucus Brokers places their business and by charging a maintenance fee that is payable via debit order as per Agreement by you, the client.

General provisions

The change in legislation has forced Amucus Brokers to review our approach to business, to be able to maintain the quality of service that you, our clients, have become accustomed to receiving when dealing with Amucus Brokers.

Amucus Brokers has therefore decided to implement a fee structure in our business relationship with our clients. This will be on certain identified services that Amucus Brokers provide to our clients as illustrated below.

Amucus Brokers has different fees for different services. For a specific service like medical scheme or broker services alone, a monthly fee of R38.22 is payable with an annual increase of 5%.

For clients that require a more comprehensive service from Amucus Brokers that includes two or more of the above mentioned services (E.g.: yearly review and maintaining of their portfolios as well as completing tax returns or medical schemes) the fee will be R63.81 per month.
If you are a provisional tax payer, the fee will be R76.58 per month. Couples pay R102.10 pm, while pensioners pay no monthly fee.

Medical Aid or Broker Services clients alone: R38.22 per month
Broker Services on two or more services Amucus offers: R63.81 per month
Broker Services on two or more services Amucus offers for Provisional Tax clients: R76.58 per month
Couples: R102.10 per month
Requesting any Tax certificates on behalf of a client that is not on debit order payments: R13.23 per certificate

Where commission is not payable or lost or withdrawn, you as the client stay liable for all fees and costs according to the fee structure table below.
